With over one million visitors per year, the MMFA is one of the most visited museums in North America. Its temporary exhibitions with original scenographies cross artistic disciplines (fine arts, music, cinema, fashion, design) and are exported to the four corners of the world, while its rich encyclopedic collection, spread over five pavilions, includes international art, arts from around the world, contemporary art, decorative arts and design, as well as Quebec and Canadian art.

The Jean-Noël Desmarais Pavilion, designed by architect Moshe Safdie, is recognizable by its imposing glass roof. There is the Stéphan Crétier and Stéphany Maillery (2019) wing dedicated to the arts of the World, as well as a shop and a restaurant.

The Michal and Renata Hornstein Pavilion for Peace (2016) is dedicated to international art, from old masters to modern art. The Claire and Marc Bourgie Pavilion (2011), easily recognized by its steeple, awaits you with its rich collection of Quebec and Canadian art (including a significant selection of Inuit art).

Every day is a journey. For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go there. I travel for the pleasure of traveling. The big thing is to move.

The MMFA complex has a 460-seat concert hall, the Bourgie Hall, as well as an auditorium and a cinema room. When you leave the Museum, the Sculpture Garden will amaze you with what is today one of the most important public art groups in the metropolis.
