Pub Saint Pierre is a great address in Old Montreal where you can eat very good food in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

“We called ourselves Pub Saint Pierre because rue Saint-Pierre is among the oldest in the Old Port, but also because we wanted to be a bit like a public house in the past. Historically, in England, the pubs were gathering places where people gathered to drink beer. In our case, we are a familiar gathering place for local from the neighborhood. », Says Vaughan Chittock, co-owner of the establishment.

With its three co-owner partners, Kian Roy, Romy Maurasse and Sophie Trépanier, the Pub Saint Pierre team has really been able to create a unique gathering place in the heart of a district generally popular with tourists. “We are really a popular place with the locals. The local spend here as much for an office lunch, for a 5 à7 as for a late-night eat. Tourists entering here are a bonus! », Says Romy. The atmosphere in the house is indeed very friendly and the welcome from the team is very warm; this is surely why there are many loyal customers here.

The 48-seat space was designed by the owners with the help of the company LK Projects. Although the decor has evolved over time, it has remained in harmony with the spirit of the place: warm, friendly and nothing too much. trendy . We really feel in a neighborhood bar!

On the menu side, it was Kian, Vaughan and the whole team who all put their best foot forward: “Vaughan has traveled a lot and has years of experience as a chef. Our menu reflects the diversity and origins of our team. We are not trying to serve anything very fancy ; we first serve very fresh, tasty dishes in which we incorporate a lot of spices. And contrary to what many think, we are not one pub typical; we don’t serve fries or poutines! », Says Kian.

The menu changes every few months, and leaves room for the creativity and spontaneity of the kitchen team. Some of the house’s most popular current dishes include the New Zealand-style burger, pad thai, vegetable gyozas and dragon wings! The establishment also offers lunch and dinner specials, good weekend brunches, and its kitchen closes at 2:30 (!).

As for alcohol, the house serves a good and simple choice of wines, beers and house cocktails. Varying with the seasons, the cocktail menu has been designed by Kian, and the two bartenders Joseph Strong and Alexa Massé.

“What we love most about the Pub is the atmosphere that reigns there! It’s laid back, super social and it’s really a neighborhood place where people are the ones who set the mood, ”says Vaughan. It shows, the team behind Pub Saint Pierre is very fond of the establishment and its loyal customers.

We go to Pub Saint Pierre to eat well and drink well in a very friendly, warm and unique atmosphere in the neighborhood!
